In the late 1970's, George Meanwell was guitarist and vocalist with the Toronto acoustic folk trio Short Turn which performed throughout the then extensive 416 area code, garnering invitations from Morningside, 90 Minutes Live, and George Hamilton IV. Until recently he was Quartetto Gelato's cellist, guitarist and mandolinist (as well as webmaster, sometime arranger and liner note writer) in concerts throughout North America, Europe and Asia.
After a brief hiatus, he returned to songwriting, releasing Another Street in 2003. A new CD of fifteen original songs, Late (recorded with The Loss Leaders ) is available now.
